I can't wait to photograph Kelsi & Christian’s wedding next May! These two are the sweetest and have the most well mannered pup too. We had just gotten to the session, I had taken maybe 10 photos and I was backing up away from them and I looked over and saw my step stool, kept backing up and completely fell on my back over my camera bag, feet up in the air, hands on my camera. We all got a good laugh from my clumsy butt and got lots of smiles from these two!
Read MoreI photographed Sierra & Zach a year ago at Whitetail Tree Farm and loved working with the two of them, so when they reached out about another round of photos and told me they were bringing their doggy, I was so excited!
Read MoreI have known McKenzie Meadows since kindergarten when she lived two doors down from me and we jumped on her bed listening to "I'm Blue" on MTV and rode together to Mrs. Gobble's glass at Grissom. I moved to Selma in first grade and then met Caine Orme and have known him ever since. Never would I have imagined these two would find each other, but they are amazing together! McKenzie has taken in little Layla and loves her like her own. I am so happy for this adorable little family and I had a blast capturing their photos in the freezing snow! Thanks guys for being crazy with me and braving the snow! Whitetail Tree Farm is extra gorgeous in the winter with all of this snow!
Read MoreI LOVE capturing this adorable family! They are so full of creativity and spunk and I love watching them grow!
I photographed Avery for the first time a year ago for her 2 year photos, Abrahm, Amiya, Alexa, & Avery this past Easter in the studio, Abrahm's 6 month photos, and Avery's 3 year photos just a couple of weeks ago.
I finally got the opportunity to capture the entire family all at once. Thank you guys for allowing me to document your family along the way!
Emma & Brandon drove from Ohio to scout out some wedding venues and had me capture their engagement photos while they were visiting! As soon as they walked up, a dog was running loose, so I threw my camera down and went chasing it (naturally). After the dog was safe and back with its’ owners, I introduced myself. Within just a few seconds, Emma looks down at my insulin pump (if you didn’t know already, I am a type 1 diabetic and have been for over 17 years) and says, “are you a diabetic?”, and raises her shirt to show me her dexcom sensor! Automatically we connect, because if you are a type 1 diabetic and see each other in public, you are automatically best friends (if you didn’t know that, now you know!) After we talked a while about our dead pancreases, we began shooting at Morrow’s Meadows! These two were so naturally in love, I asked them about how they met and they told me they met on Bumble. She told me that on Bumble, the girl has to reach out to the guy, so she made the first move. I told her about how my boyfriend and I met, and how I walked up to him and shook his hand and said, “Hi, I’m Kyla, what’s your name?” I had such blast capturing these two, and their love for one another! They were so cuddly and cute while bumping hips and almost knocking each other over, cuddling on a log and telling their own inside jokes to make each other laugh.

It poured rain on my drive there and snowed about 2 inches on my way home. Somewhere in between Indiana’s dramatic weather, we got about 40 minutes to capture family, bridal, and couple portraits outside! The Cope Environmental Center was such a modern and unique venue, I loved the modern architecture and the natural light pouring in from outside. These two are so sweet and laid back, and have so much love for one another. Here is a large sneak peek of their family portraits, couple portraits, and a few details from their wedding reception.
Read MoreMariah & Quin were so cute and sweet to work with. They told me that they were awkward in photos, and they were everything but awkward! They were so naturally sweet and giggly. Mariah and Quin drove over an hour to meet me at Whitetail Tree Farm and capture their adorable engagement photos in the middle of winter! I am so happy that they had me capture such special photos and endured the cold, it was so worth it! I can not wait to share the rest of their gallery with them!
Read MoreI got to capture this blended family and they were stinking adorable! Ashlee, Jon, Lauren, Logan, Alaina, & Asher all met me at Whitetail Tree Farm where we captured their family photos! Asher had me giggling the entire time with his silly facial expressions and laughs. They were such a sweet family to work with and I hope to capture their family again in the future!
Read MoreThese two were so cuddly and it definitely showed throughout their photos and especially in their sneak peek! I may actually have just chosen my favorites and those are all of them cuddling… Woops! Seriously, Sierra and Zach were so sweet, Zach did not complain once, I guess he was getting to kiss and hug on his adorable girlfriend. These two were so much fun to work with, I can not wait to share more from their session!
Read MoreTakeisha & Nick are long standing clients who I have captured during all parts of their relationship, so it was fitting to capture their special day! Their day was absolutely perfect, her unique and beautiful wedding gown, all of the little details, the fall decor, their adorable son, the games they played on the dance floor, and the love this couple shares for one another. Thank you Nick and Takeisha for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
Read MoreOh where do I start!?! Kiley & Coty’s wedding was absolutely perfect! The couple were so sweet, so in love, and so much fun to work with all day! The family and their bridal party were so sweet and so helpful and kept the dance floor full all night! The groom’s mother decorated the ceremony arbor with floral that had looked like a professional florist’s work! The bride’s father hosted the entire event at his gorgeous home. Years ago he had acquired a bottle of Crown Royal that was from the year he was born and told everyone he wouldn’t open it until his daughter’s wedding, the entire bridal party and family enjoyed a shot or two together after his toast to the bride and groom. I am so happy that I got the chance to capture this beautiful wedding and help preserve memories from their very special day!
Read MoreOh my word! Where do I start with this adorable unique little family? So James and Elyssa travel all over the place with the fair with their two little girls! Do you know how much respect I have for this family, I can’t imagine having two little girls within 10 months of each other and expecting a third while TRAVELING 6 months of out of the year!
It rained and rained this past week and I thought we were going to catch a small break from the pouring rain… but I was wrong. I messaged Elyssa and told her I would understand if she wanted to reschedule, I was expecting a “Yes I will need to reschedule to a time when its not pouring!” But instead I got a “We might as well go for it!” (I was so excited!)
We got to the White river and it was just sprinkling, so we got out and started our photo session under a tree and then headed down to the river. As soon as we got down to the water it started raining even harder, we then headed across the street to a small park, it of course started raining harder. Elyssa, James, nor the two kids ever complained. I kept apologizing that it was raining so hard and she could have cared less! They all rocked this session and it was honestly so sweet and romantic, with the two cuddling up to each other in the rain, dancing with each other, and watching the two kiddos play and splash in the rain puddles. I am so excited to share a few photos from this perfect session! Thank you Elyssa & James for being AMAZING clients and just going with the flow!

The family included two grandparents, 4 parents, and 8 children!
I had met Andrea and her daughter Alayna at a craft bazaar, where I had a photo booth set up at, I had mentioned that Alayna was a spitting image of Andrea (but seriously they are twins). The three of them, Andrea's parents and sister also attended the photo session. They were all so easy to work with and the session went so smoothly. I look forward to working with this sweet family again in the near future!

After the ceremony the couple traveled by bus to the IU football game to tailgate with friends and family at their RV, while still in their wedding attire. The reception was held several hours later at Deer Park. Their reception was elegant and beautifully decorated with lights and floral arrangements. The couple are die hard IU sports fans and it definitely showed!
