Lauren is my hairdresser and I just adore her! She scheduled a session with me last time I was in her salon chair and the Indiana weather pushed it back a bit, but we finally got to meet at her grandparent’s property to capture her and Luigi together. Luigi is such a well behaved dog, and was cracking me up when he would get the zoomies and run across the yard! He loved all the cuddles with his momma, and all the treats that followed each photo. I loveeee photographing dogs and their owners, because dogs are like children and best friends all in one. When I was a senior and my dog Biscuit was 12 years old, I had photos taken at my home with him and my dog Ellie May. Biscuit passed later that year and those photos still sit on my book shelf. This past year, I had branding photos taken for my website and brought my dog Kip along. Those photos are so important to me, knowing that Kip won’t be around for forever, and knowing that I have those special photos to hold on to for the rest of my life.

Then nervously passed that mic to the next kid. I later on learned that veterinarians had to put animals down when they were sick or old, so I changed that dream real quick and just decided I would own all the dogs and cats I could. Now that I am doing my dream job, with several animals of my own, I get to photograph the cutest doggies ever, and it makes my heart so happy!
Check out Finnegan, and his two sweet parents, Kellyn & Christian Reid.
I was so happy when they came strolling up with the cutest doggo Finn for a Mother's Day Mini!

I look forward to every time I get to capture their family photos, the two of them are so laid back and I always have great conversations with them. This is the first time that I got to meet their new puppy Dorothy! Ashley kept telling me that she apologized ahead of time for how crazy she would be, but Zach and her brought the treats and she was absolutely perfect for the camera! I had such a blast with this family, and I can not wait to watch them grow in the future and capture their doggo throughout the years!

So this winter I decided to take "family" Christmas Photos in my in home studio. Let's just say they did not go as planned and it was probably hilarious to watch me try to herd all four of them. The only group photo I got is actually 5 different images merged into one, but I am happy that I captured the ones I did. Here is just a small sneak peek of all of the photos I got that day.

Harper had us all crying from laughing so hard, when she went to go running while on her leash and flipped on to her back, she just could not handle all the excitement of the photo session! I look forward to photographing this adorable family again in the future.
