A Fairytale Wedding with a dirtbike reception entrance! This wedding was absolutely beautiful and such a fun day. Stacie and Aaron, were so laid back throughout the day, and then partied at their reception. Stacie wore her princess crown, and rode in on her dirtbike. That’s my kind of bride!

Addison & Hunter's Wedding at Barn Thirty-Eight

These two know how to throw a party! I was laughing and smiling the entire day from behind the camera, jamming out while getting ready, bouquets getting thrown in the air during bridal party photos, kissing and cuddles from Hunter and Addison, and such a beautiful day for a wedding! So many special moments, their preview had me smiling while editing remembering back to their wedding day.

I absolutely loved capturing Makayla & Joe’s wedding day at the Delaware Country Club this September. They were the coolest and laid back couple ever. Their first look was stinking adorable, their ceremony was held during a golf tournament and the two of them could not have cared less who was around them, Makayla & her dad’s father daughter dance had everyone smiling and cheering. What DETAILS To Have Ready For Your Photographer On Your Wedding Day

Are you a bride who wants to have everything planned out before your wedding day to help eliminate unnecessary stress and worries? Then this blog is written just for you!

I have photographed over 80 weddings over the past 4 years and I have worked with all different types of brides. Those who have had a packet typed out for me with detailed instructions and were so relaxed and prepared on their wedding day, some who winged it the day of and showed up late to their own wedding, and some who really just let me take full control. I LOVE THEM ALL! Though there is one thing that I have learned, when I arrive and can not find any of the details such as rings, jewelry, shoes, the dress, invites, perfume and earrings it takes away from time that I could be shooting and planning the detail shots and also seems to be stressful to the bride when they are running around trying to collect everything for me.

When I have arrived and everything was laid out, I got to dive right in and start planning the detail shots and dress photos without having to rush or bug the bride. If you are a bride, your photographer will thank you so much if you have everything laid out together on a table or in a box near the dress.

Now what are some items that you could think about including and having prepared?

1. His & Her wedding bands and the bride’s engagement ring ( I bring my own white velvet ring boxes or I can use personalized ones you have)

2. The wedding dress

3. If you have a personalized hanger or a nice wooden/velvet one

4. Invites if you want to include them (it’s a great way to include the date, location, and your names into your wedding photos effortlessly)

5. Earrings

6. Necklace

7. Bracelets

8. Bouquet

9. Shoes

10. Veil

11. Any sentimental items (lockets, something borrowed, something blue, something old)

12. Garter

13. Vows (always a personal touch)

14. Hair Clips

15. Perfume ( I have used the same type of perfume since I was in high school, so it is like a piece of me, so I would include it)

16. Any ribbons, accessories, flowers, or personal items that scream you!

Now, don’t feel like you have to include all of these! These are just suggestions that I have photographed in the past. I always tell my brides to wait to get in their dress until I have gotten photos of it hanging with the shoes and veil if there is one. I love capturing the bride getting in to their dress with the help of their mom or maid of honor. Waiting to put on your earrings, lipstick, bracelet, necklace, shoes, and veil are also a great idea until after you are in your dress. The photos of mom or grandma helping you get ready are priceless!

Danielle & Mason's Winter Wedding

Danielle & Mason were married on Saturday January 4th at the Columbia City Church of the Nazarene and had their beautiful reception at the Van Buren Event Center (My first wedding of 2020!). The two of them wrote the sweetest love letters to one another and read them aloud to each other at their first look at a little park under some tall pine trees. I had an amazing time capturing their love for one another throughout the entire day. Congratulations on your marriage and I can not wait to see the amazing future you two have together!

Austin & Ariana's Wedding at the Delaware Country Club

When a couple loves like this couple loves one another, capturing their wedding day is just so easy! Any moment they could be kissing and holding each other, they were. From the moment I saw these two together, I knew they were meant to be. They love one another so effortlessly and that showed through in all of their wedding photos. It was reallllly windy and chilly out on their wedding day, but Austin Burton wrapped Ariana up in her coat and carried her from spot to spot, he played her a song on his guitar, and admired her the entire day. I have known Austin since we were young, and this is the happiest I have ever seen him. Congratulations you two on a beautiful wedding, and future together! Thanks for being such troopers in the cold and making me ohh and ahhh over you guys all day!

Ruthie & Anthony's Wedding at The Carriage House of Yorktown

Ruthie & Anthony were married at The Carriage House of Yorktown, and it was such an elegant and classy day with such beautiful fall weather. Ruthie had such a special way of including her father and mother in her wedding day. She did a first look with her dad after her mom helped her into her wedding dress, she did a dance with her dad and then surprised her mom with a special dance that brought her to tears, and both parents gave such sweet speeches at the reception. It was an amazing day at such a gorgeous venue. All of the bridal party were so much fun to work with and so supportive through out their special day. Thank you guys for having me capture your wedding day and also having the photo booth at your reception, you have so many fun photos from all of your guests! Marissa & Josh's Wedding At The Ballroom At Cardinal Hills

Marissa & Josh Jones were married at The Ballroom at Cardinal Hill’s on October 12, 2019 and their entire day was absolutely magical. Marissa was an absolute QUEEN! The two of them prayed with their bridal party, worshipped during their ceremony, cut pie in place of their cake, and had the most beautiful vows written to each other. Their love for one another showed throughout every moment of their wedding day and I can not wait to see what the future holds for the two of them, I know it will be AMAZING!
