This family was AMAZING to work with, from their stylish clothes, to their funny personalities, and sweet dispositions. They were seriously a dream family client. So many natural laughs and cuddles and time spent talking and laughing together. I loved capturing their family photos and can not wait to work with them again in the future hopefully! Makayla and I met while I was photographing a wedding and she was the videographer. She is so sweet and talented, that I hired her to capture my senior spokesmodel team’s photoshoot on video!

Jessica Surber's Extended Family Session at Minnetrista

I golfed against Jessica in highschool and then officially met her later in college, I always thought she was so sweet and bubbly. She reached out to me and told me that she and her family would be back in Indiana to visit with her in-laws and her husbands children. I was so excited to catch up with her and meet her adorable kiddos. This was such a fun family to capture, their grandpa was teasing me the whole time and the little ones have the cutest little smiles and laughs.

Extended Family Photo Session At Minnetrista in Muncie, Indiana

I met Mariah and her husband about 6 years ago, photographed them one other time, and even dog sat for their big fluffy doggo. I was so excited when she booked me for an extended family session. Due to weather and corona, their session got pushed back quite a bit but we finally got their session booked and it was such a beautiful day!

What to Wear to Your Photoshoot

So you’ve booked a photo session with your photographer, now what should you wear? You have seen the outfit fails where everyone is to “matchy matchy” and the ones where they definitely did not coordinate with the rest of their family. I have been photographing now for over 8 years and I have seen so many styles come and go. I decided to put together a blog of my favorite Amazon finds! I ordered around 15 dresses to try on for a wedding and found some great pieces that I also included. I have had little clients in the studio, and asked their momma’s where they found their adorable outfits, and their answer was Amazon. Enjoy!
