Lexi is one of my senior spokesmodel girls! I have loved capturing her senior photos through out her entire senior year. After getting to know her at the meet and greet session, then shooting our styled shoot together all day, I got to shoot her 2 hour senior session at several locations.

We started in nature in the woods, then headed to the river in downtown muncie, while we were shooting we both saw this SWEET looking graffiti wall. She had told me she was interested in art and it was absolutely perfect for her and her style. I have 30 minutes left to shoot with her in a couple weeks and then I have family photos booked with her and her family in December.

I love when seniors incorporate something special and unique to them such as a vehicle, sport they play, pet, or hobby. We started at the nature area near the reservoir, headed to the river for photos along the water and ended at the Craddock Nature Preserve in her gorgeous pink dress. Her mom and bff Sierra (another senior spokesmodel girl) tagged along and assisted in carrying her outfits and making her laugh.

I have worked with her now three times this year, first at our welcome session, then her senior shoot, and lastly our styled shoot with all the girls. Each senior spokesmodel gets their own 2 hour senior session as well as several other team shoots all for the same price as a senior session. My team of 6 senior girls are stinking amazing and I have loved working with them all and capturing their sweet personalities.
Read MoreWe spent the entire day at the studio for hair and makeup. Kayla Butler styled their hair with their favorite Boho styles (lots of braids and fun curls). Andrea Connelly did their makeup, with natural colors to showcase their true beauty. MY VENDORS WERE AMAZING to work with! While the girls got all dolled up, I captured behind the scene photos of each of them and we jammed out to music. It couldn’t have went better! After showing up at 8:45 that morning finishing my set up from the day before, the girls started showing up at 10 am and hair and makeup started! We finished getting ready in the studio at 4:30 and headed out to the woods on golf carts. The girls faces lit up when they saw the styled shoot set up for the very first time! The shoot included a Belle tent, tall colorful candles, vintage crystal colorful glasses, tons of colorful blankets and pillows, handmade bouquets recycled from a wedding, my fave Target egg chair, an old ladder, and lots of other accessories to make up a boho vibe….
Read MoreGUYS! I can't tell you how many times during this shoot I giggled and said, "OH MY WORD BLAIR!" Can you believe this location is a spot I have driven by 10,000+ times in my life. I never thought about it being such a magical location until about a month ago. As a photographer I am always scouting out new locations and exploring new spots for my clients. Blair is one of my senior spokesmodels and did ABSOLUTELY amazing throughout the entire shoot. These are just some highlights, there are soooo many more just as magical as these!
I may be 26 but you never are too old to ask for your mommas help! I had my momma, Jennifer come along and shoot some behind the scenes shots for me to share on social media with everyone. As a photographer I don't get many photos of me behind the camera, so these photos and videos mean the absolute world to me. (Thanks mom!)

I am beyond excited to be working with these amazing senior girls. My Senior Spokesmodel Team each get their own custom 2 hour senior session, Meet & Greet Headshots, A Styled Shoot, and Cap and Gown photos in the spring. We had our Meet & Greet this past Sunday. All of the girls received headshots, we had food, played with the photo booth, jammed out to music, and tie-dyed shoes. I had so much fun getting to know the girls a little better and hang out with them all in the studio.
It’s that time of year and I am SO excited to announce the opening of 2021 senior spokesmodel applications-YAY! The Kyla Jo Photography spokesmodel team is a group of local high school seniors that represent the face of Kyla Jo Photography for the duration of their senior year. Spokesmodels are chosen through an application process and receive countless perks including participation in additional photoshoots, digital images to share on social media, of course their very own senior session, group activities and events, referral print credit bonuses, swag bags, styled shoots and more!
Read MoreI got the opportunity to capture Riley, who is a senior at Yorktown high School graduating this Sunday. Her momma wanted a session with her 12 year old dog Gypsy, so that is what we did! I absolutely love being able to capture pets in photo sessions. When I was a senior in high school, I lost my childhood dog, Biscuit to old age. That previous summer I had had photos taken in my backyard with him and those photos mean the world to me. Being able to look back at those images, after he was gone is so special to me, and I will hold on to those for the rest of my life.
Read MoreI absolutely loved capturing Ruthie’s senior photos! She was super sweet and so mature. She brought her illustrated Harry Potter book with her to her session and it made my day! We talked about how we had both read all of the books, and she showed me some of the illustrations in her gorgeous hardback book. She was like Alice in Wonderland spinning and smiling through the trees, so whimsical and playful.
