I got the opportunity to capture Riley, who is a senior at Yorktown high School graduating this Sunday. Her momma wanted a session with her 12 year old dog Gypsy, so that is what we did! I absolutely love being able to capture pets in photo sessions. When I was a senior in high school, I lost my childhood dog, Biscuit to old age. That previous summer I had had photos taken in my backyard with him and those photos mean the world to me. Being able to look back at those images, after he was gone is so special to me, and I will hold on to those for the rest of my life.

The entire day leading up to the session was rainy and we were so worried that we would get rained out, but to our surprise it cleared up and turned into a beautiful evening. Sarah had warned me that they had never had photos done before and that they were both awkward, but the two were so natural and flirty with each other and I could not have asked for a better session! I can't wait to work with these two again in the future!
