Decker turns 1!
His parents are in for a lot of adventures, bruised knees, ripped pants, and bandaids raising this little boy.
He loved climbing on all of the props, standing on the rocking chair, and getting cake all over himself. He is such an adorable and sweet little boy and I loved working with him and his family to capture his 1 year photos in the studio.
Decker turns 1!
Caroline was such a blast to work with, we had the most perfect weather, so many laughs, and captured the most gorgeous photos of her! She was so adventurous as she climbed through all the prickly weeds! I loved working with Caroline and capturing her senior photos. I also found some new spots here in Muncie, if you are looking to schedule your senior photos and like any of these gorgeous locations let me know!Read More
I got the opportunity to capture Riley, who is a senior at Yorktown high School graduating this Sunday. Her momma wanted a session with her 12 year old dog Gypsy, so that is what we did! I absolutely love being able to capture pets in photo sessions. When I was a senior in high school, I lost my childhood dog, Biscuit to old age. That previous summer I had had photos taken in my backyard with him and those photos mean the world to me. Being able to look back at those images, after he was gone is so special to me, and I will hold on to those for the rest of my life.Read More
Hadley and Charlotte were the sweetest little blue eyed blonde sisters to work with! We captured Hadley’s 1 year photos in the studio along with some photos of her and her big sister Charlotte. While Hadley was getting changed, Charlotte helped take photos of her dollies on my props and it was adorable. Happy 1 year to little Hadley, thanks for visiting me in the studio!Read More

Emersyn Mae Pittenger was born on December 15, 2018 at 1:50pm weighing 7lbs 11oz and measuring 21 1/2in long. I am so happy that I got to capture her mom and dad’s maternity photos before she was born, and then 2 weeks after she was born I got to capture sweet little Emersyn in my studio. She was wide awake for about an hour and a half, then fell asleep for about 30 minutes. She was absolutely adorable and so sweet during her session.
I got to capture this blended family and they were stinking adorable! Ashlee, Jon, Lauren, Logan, Alaina, & Asher all met me at Whitetail Tree Farm where we captured their family photos! Asher had me giggling the entire time with his silly facial expressions and laughs. They were such a sweet family to work with and I hope to capture their family again in the future!Read More
I absolutely loved capturing Ruthie’s senior photos! She was super sweet and so mature. She brought her illustrated Harry Potter book with her to her session and it made my day! We talked about how we had both read all of the books, and she showed me some of the illustrations in her gorgeous hardback book. She was like Alice in Wonderland spinning and smiling through the trees, so whimsical and playful.Read More

I have photographed the Romack family for several years now and known them for about 10 years. I coached Renee in cheerleading at church and watched her and her sisters grow up. I got the opportunity to capture Playful Fox & Co.’s newest over the collar bandana. Since my highschool senior year when I decided I wanted to become a photographer, I knew I wanted to open my own studio one day. In my head this was such an unrealistic DREAM that I never thought it would actually happen. I assumed that I would be 30/40 years old with kids before I would actually be able to do it, if I could even do it then! After several months of looking at places to rent or buy and nothing seemed to be "just right", I found a space that needed a lot of work but it was PERFECT! After a lot of hard work from Dean, Cory & JR... I HAVE A STUDIO SPACE and a waiting room is in the works! I am so happy with how it turned out, I got to completely start from scratch and pick out the colors, trim, flooring, furniture, and design it to fit Kyla Jo Photography's style PERFECTLY! Thank you to my family who has pushed me and encouraged me to reach for my dreams, for all of the props that they have donated and to all of my clients who have helped me get here! I am so thankful for all of it! I now have an indoor studio space for newborns, children, headshots, pets, boudoir, and anything you can imagine! Here is just a little sneak peek at what my studio looks like and some of the details such as the flooring, paint color, furniture, location, my favorite parts, and some of my props!Read More

Congratulations to all four of you on graduating, good luck with job hunting and adulting!Read More
